A MOTORIST in his 20s has died following a collision on the M6 in Lancashire in the early hours of today.
Emergency services were called to the motorway around 4.30am when a car left the road between junction 32 and Forton Services.
The vehicle left the road and crashed through fences before careering down an embankment.
The driver was said to be dead at the scene and two women passengers were taken to the Royal Lancaster Hospital for treatment to minor wounds.
An investigation has been launched by motorway police and any witnesses are asked to call 0845 125 3545.
