Homeless charity Emmaus, which is working to create a centre in Burnley, is holding a volunteer ‘open day’ for people who’d like to find out more and give help.
Emmaus Burnley will be located at Booth Court, Old Hall Street, and volunteers, who need not be experienced, are needed for a wide range of activities from shop work to gardening and decorating.
Also, more people are needed to take an active part in the committee which is overseeing the project.
