A NEW member is needed for the Darwen and Rural Neighbourhood Board.
A vacancy has arisen because one of the resident members resigned after getting a place at university.
The board consists of ward councillors and residents, and is supported by senior managers in the council, and other agencies like the NHS and the police.
Board members have a responsible role to tackle neighbourhood priorities and make improvements to their districts.
The board is non-political and reports to the Local Strategic Partnership.
It has a budget of £50,000 a year.
Anyone wishing to be considered for the role should contact Amanda Grimshaw for an information pack on 01254 222154, or email amanda.grimshaw@blackburn.gov.uk.
For an informal discussion, contact Tim Birch on (01254) 222129.
The deadline for applications is Friday, November 13.
