A MAJOR marketing campaign has been launched to inject life into a Rossendale leisure hall.
Bacup residents are working to keep their community hall open after a bid for Lotto cash failed earlier this year.
Hundreds of posters, big banners, a new website, and drop-in market stalls have featured in recent weeks.
It is hoped that local groups and community volunteers will come forward and bring ideas on a viable use for the venue, which has been threatened with closure during the past 12 months.
Though the leisure hall lost more than 8,000 visitors between 2006 and 2008, residents hope a community takeover is the way forward.
The council has encouraged any interested parties who have a viable, sustainable proposal for Bacup Leisure Hall to complete an expression of interest form by Thursday.
