POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after a burglary at a Chinese takeaway in Accrington.

The Lancashire Telegraph has revealed that detectives are looking into links between three similar burglaries of local takeaways.

The pictures released by the police are from cameras inside and outside a Chinese takeaway in Marlborough Road, Accrington, which was burgled between 11.20am and 1.10pm on Sunday, September 27.

They stole items of jewellery, a Playstation 2 and games, an Acer Laptop and cash – worth in total around £2,300.

Police believe the men arrived in a grey Ford Mondeo and spent a considerable amount of time outside the takeaway, throwing stones at the upstairs window, before forcing the door open.

Officers are appealing to the men on CCTV to come forward. Police are also keen to speak to anyone who knows them or where they are.

One of the suspects is described as white, aged between 18 and 20, approximately 6ft tall with a slim build.

He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.

The second suspect is described as white, aged in his late 30s.

He was around 5ft 10ins tall with a stocky build. He had dark hair and was wearing a stripy t-shirt.

Both had local accents.
