A PLANNING application for a supermarket billboard is set to be rejected at a council meeting next week.
The Lidl Supermarket, in Rigby Street, Nelson, app-lied to Pendle Council to put up an advertisement sign 6m wide and 3m high.
The supermarket had previously applied to the council, and had it refused in June this year.
A report to the Nelson committee on Monday, October 5, says that the app-lication should be rejected on the grounds that a sign would be difficult to see in the location chosen but would ‘detract from the street scene’.
