A 73-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving at 5pm yesterday after a car lost control and clipped a pedestrian on the pavement in Blackburn, police said.
A blue Vauxhall Corsa span across oncoming traffic in Roman Road, near Sullivan Drive, after clipping the kerb, according to officers.
Police said it hit a parked Mitsubishi Shogan, mounted a pavement and clipped a female pedestrian before coming to rest against a hedge.
The woman was left with cuts and bruises.
