A FAMILY gala at Sunnyhurst Woods attracted the crowds as the rain stayed away.
Yesterday’s event, organised by the Friends of Sunnyhurst Woods, featured more than 30 attractions including a dog show, limerick competition and bouncy castles.
There were also performances from Darwen brass band and the Accrington Pipe Band.
The event was opened by the Mayor, Coun James Hirst, and all funds raised go back into the developments at Sunnyhurst Woods.
