MRS Angela Barker, the headteacher at Rosegrove Infant School, Owen Street, and Rosegrove Nursery in Havelock Street, is retiring this week.
She has worked at Rosegrove Infant School for 25 years and been head-teacher for the last 15 years and for the last four years at the nursery.
Mrs Jacquie Stewart will be taking over the headship in September at the infant school and Mrs Gillian Wroe, from the McMillan nursery in Nelson, will be seconded on a part-time basis at Rosegrove Nursery.
Rosegrove Action Group would like to thank Mrs Barker for all her help in the past and wish her a happy retirement.
