A SCHEME offering free Friday car boot pitches at Clitheroe Market is to be extended for three months.
The free stalls are available to Ribble Valley residents or for £11 to non-Ribble Valley residents from 9am to 4pm.
James Russell, the council’s environ-mental health manager, said: “We started offering the free car boot sales to showcase the market and give local residents the chance to raise extra cash in April, initially for a three-month period.
“They have proved very popular, with over 10 stallholders each week, so we have decided to extend the scheme for a further three months and we hope residents will take advantage of this opportunity to combat the recession by taking a stall or attending the markets.”
To book a stall contact Ribble Valley Borough Council on 01200 425111.
