A CLIVIGER landlord is searching for the best pub poet in the region to compete in a national competition.
The search for the bard of the bars is being launched in the Ram pub, in Burnley Road.
Wordsmiths will battle it out with each other in a bid to find the most gifted creative writer in East Lancs.
Vintage Inns in the Lancashire and Yorkshire region will also compete throughout this month and August before a regional representative is found to challenge other UK poets.
Entries must be sent by email to pubpoet@gmail.com and entrants should put The Ram in the subject line of their email and include their name and telephone number in the email itself.
The deadline is July 31.
