AN INDIAN restaurant has finished fourth in a prestigious Asian food competition.
The Shajan restaurant, in Longsight Road, Clayton-le-Dale, missed out on the top three of the Veetee Tiffin Cup by just one point.
Chefs and management from the restaurant took part in the competition, known as the Curry Cup, at the House of Commons, on Wednesday, supported by Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans.
Shaju Ali, owner of the Shajan, said: “To come fourth is still a great achievement, there were 58 restaurants at the start of the competition.
“Our food went down very well and we had some really good comments.”
