A 28-YEAR-old woman says she is being forced to move out of her home town after becoming the victim of harassment.

Natalie Woodhouse, of Higher Lawrence Street, Darwen, said she was now planning to leave the area in a last ditch attempt to escape the problem.

She said the final straw was when she woke up yesterday to find black graffiti had been sprayed across her windows and rude signs painted on front door.

Ms Woodhouse has reported the vandalism to police and said this was the first time her complaints have been taken seriously.

She is hoping neighbours who may have seen anyone acting suspicious in the area will also come forward to help the police.

Police yesterday confirmed that Ms Woodhouse had reported the graffiti on three windows and the front door at 7.46am on Monday.

However officers were unavail-able to comment further about the incident or Ms Woodhouse’s claim she was being harassed.

Ms Woodhouse said: “I feel like the police aren’t doing anything. I have contacted them about the harassment but they keep saying there is nothing they can do.

“When I reported the graffiti, police seem to be taking it more seriously.

“I’m worried for the safety of my children and myself “I am moving out of the area to get away from this, my kids are petrified.

"I should not have to move out of my home and my home town to feel safe.”
