FIREFIGHTERS have hit out after receiving a bogus call stating three people were trapped in a burning building.
Three fire crews attended the property in Blackburn Road, Accrington, along with ambulances and the police at 1.26am on Saturday.
Hyndburn watch manager Nick Ingham said: “We sent three appliances to that incident, leaving the rest of Hyndburn without any cover.
“If there had been another incident, crews from other places, such as Blackburn, would have had to attend, taking a heck of a lot longer to get there.”
