INVESTIGATIONS are taking place into recent reports of fly-tipping behind the Commercial Hotel in Rawtenstall.
The overgrown land to the rear of the property has become a magnet for illegal dumping in recent months.
Officers from the Rossendale environment team are monitoring the area.
High visibility patrols are set to take place on a regular basis in a bid to tackle the problem, which has affected various sites across the borough this year.
