LONGRIDGE Community Hospital has scored a treble ‘excellent’ rating following an inspection of facilities for inpatients.

The hospital's respect for privacy and dignity, food quality and environment received top scores from the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) in its 2009 Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) assessments.

Joe Rafferty, chief executive of NHS Central Lancashire, said: “It is the third year running we have achieved this.”

“We are delighted that the hard work of staff in providing patients with an excellent service has been reflected in the NPSA results.”
