CHILD fares will soon be increased on Rossendale buses.
From April 5, GMPTE will increase the standard child fare by 10p.
Children will now have to pay 80p on schooldays before 4.30pm.
After 4.30pm on schooldays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, the flat fare of £1 will be unchanged.
A statement on the Rossendale Transport website states that the changes have come as a result of the recession.
Fares currently at 90p will be change to £1, £1.20 to £1.30 and £1.50 to £1.60.
