RARE vacancies have opened up at sheltered housing schemes across a borough.
Hyndburn Homes currently has a limited number of vacancies at one bedroom properties for people over 50.
They are in popular developments including Eachill Gardens, Rishton, Merlin Court, Oswaldtwistle, Franklin Ainsworth House, Great Harwood, Lyndon House, Great Harwood and Rutland Close in Clayton-le-Moors.
Sheltered housing offers residents their own home and independence but with the services of a warden when needed.
Linda Chelton, Marketing and Allocations Manager, said: “It doesn’t matter if you have £5 in the bank or £500,000.
“The only qualification is that you are over the age required for that particular scheme which will be over 50, over 55 or over 60. That’s it!”
