MOBILE CCTV vans are being used to catch off-road bike riders.
A police operation targeting offenders has been put in place following complaints from residents in Great Harwood.
Over the weekend Community Beat Manager PC Andy Sarchet and neighbourhood officer PCSO Mark Skoczen targeted areas known for illegal use of motorbikes using the recently unveiled Hyndburn CCTV van to capture evidence.
As a result of the first operation, two offenders from Clayton-le-Moors were issued with fixed penalty notices for riding along the fields off Alan Ramsbottom Way, Great Harwood and both were also given warnings due to the anti-social use of the bikes.
