AN AWARD-winning farm park is set to open next week despite its owner suffering a setback.
Just days before the Thornton Hall Farm Country Park opening, John Harrison has broken his foot in a motorcycle accident.
John, who runs the park with his wife Sandra, at Thornton-in Craven, said hundreds of lambs were due to arrive in the next few days.
He added: “The tim-ing couldn’t be worse.
“As a farmer, being ill isn’t an option, so I may be lame but I’ll still be lambing.”
The farm opens from April 4, Tuesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays, between 10am and 5pm.
