MAYOR: Coun Adams
PENDLE’s first citizen for 2009-10 has been confirmed as veteran Barnoldswick councillor Marjorie Adams.
Coun Adams, a member of the scrutiny management team and licensing committee, will assume the chains of office from Coun Shelagh Derwent in May.
The Liberal Democrat councillor has served as deputy for the past 12 months.
The deputy mayor for the same period will be the Conservative group leader Coun Tony Beckett.
