A BURNLEY man yesterday remained “serious but stable” in intensive care, a week after being found unconscious outside a block of flats.
Jack Horne, 25, was discovered outside student accommodation in Church Street, Preston, late last Friday night.
The former University of Central Lancashire Student (UCLan) student had been drinking following an interview with the RAF, police said.
Det Sgt John Crichton, from Preston CID, said officers believed Mr Horne had sustained his injuries through falling over and not through violence, after speaking to witnesses and studying CCTV footage.
He added: “We are waiting for him to come round so we can speak to him. We are talking in those positive terms.”
A Royal Preston Hospital spokesman said Mr Horne remained serious but stable in intensive care but had improved slightly since last weekend.
