RESIDENTS will be given the chance to voice their opinion on a new project to improve a former railway line.

The track which used to connect Helmshore and Stubbins has been earmarked for a revamp by the REMADE scheme.

Planned improvements would also include installing footpaths, cleaning woodland and improving seating facilities in the area around the derelict Lumb Mill site.

A first draft for the location has been drawn up by consultants and now local people will get to have a say on the scheme.

The scheme focuses on revamping neglected land for parks, nature reserves, and footpaths.
