ONE minute’s silence was held at the opening of Padiham Town Council’s meeting on Monday, in respect for the recently deceased Pat Lord who was the first Mayoress of Padiham.
Sgt Tim Cussans attended the meeting to present his first police report.
He is now the police sergeant for Padiham, replacing Sgt Bishop who has now moved on to police HQ.
Sgt Cussans said he had spent the previous week studying local policing problems.
