CHILDREN from St Luke and St Philip’s CE Primary School in Blackburn have impressed Ofsted inspectors with how much they enjoy school.
Inspectors also highlighted how calm the school is, how everyone gets along, and the polite and friendly atmosphere.
One area the inspectors thought could improve was helping pupils make faster progress to reach higher grades in English, mathematics and science.
But the report also noted how achievement is now rising, with the school’s year six results for 2008 being the highest for many years.
Headteacher Pamela Scott said: “Inspectors found our school to be a happy, inclusive school with excellent relationships built on trust and respect.”
