Footy-mad radio presenter Adam Catterall has switched allegiances for a Citizen-back charity match later this month.

Adam, who presents the breakfast show on Rock FM, turned out last year for the team of stars from TV soap Hollyoaks.

But this year he has decided to switch allegiances and play for the AA All-Stars at the match, which takes place at Bamber Bridge FC’s Irongate Ground on October 19.

Adam said: “I played for the Hollyoaks lads last year but this year I have decided to play for the winning team. I am going to wind a couple of the lads up because they have already been on to me about switching sides so I’m really looking forward to locking horns with them.”

Organiser, local AA man Tony Cartwright, said: “It is going to be a really fun afternoon and I am sure Adam will have a laugh with all the Hollyoaks lads who he obviously knows very well.”

A charity night, which features top tribute band ABBA Arrival among others, will take place the night before the game on Saturday October 18 at Park Hall in Chorley.
