A MAN has died after a car accident in Rishton earlier tonight.
The man, who has not been identified, was a passenger in an N-registered Ford car which crashed in Blackburn Road, Rishton, at about 6pm.
It is believed the vehicle, which was travelling towards Rishton, collided with a crash barrier.
The man had to be cut free by firefighters but died from his injuries.
Two other occupants of the car were already clear of the vehicle when emergency services arrived.
Police said one man was arrested after the accident and was awaiting questioning.
