HODDLESDEN Millennium Green has four new volunteers.
The helpers, who came forward following appeals in the Lancashire Telegraph, have been thanked by a committee member.
They will help at this year’s Big Picnic at Hoddlesden this Sunday as well as helping to maintain the Green.
Organiser Michelle Wild had been concerned that the picnic, held for the past seven years, would have to be scrapped due to a lack of volunteers to help with planning and organising, preparation of the green and erecting the tents on the day.
Michelle said: “We would like to thank them for coming forward and helping.”
