POLICE are staging a special operation to clear up areas around Darwen on Wednesday and Thursday.
St James estate, Sudellside and the Olive Lane areas will be targeted.
Other agencies involved with the clean up are Twin Valley Homes and the probation service.
Blackburn with Darwen Community Safety Partnership officials will pick up litter, remove graffitti and clampdown on untaxed, abandoned or illegal cars in the area.
The Beatsweep operation is part of a wider series of activities designed to cut down on anti-social behaviour and improve conditions in Blackburn and Darwen’s communities.
