A young man has been named ambassador for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
Leo Cliffe, 26, has received the title in recognition of his long-standing support for the Chorley-based charity and his dedication to raising awareness of its work.
Although Mr Cliffe recently moved on from Derian House’s children’s hospice services after his final stay, the connection remains close.
He said: "I am so proud to be asked to be an Ambassador for Derian House.

"I even got a certificate and my own lanyard with a special gold badge.
"My mum Vicky got very emotional."
Known for his humour and love of karaoke, Mr Cliffe is a familiar face at the hospice, where he has built strong bonds with staff and other young people.
He said: "I think the staff are amazing, all of them are.
"But one of my favourite things to do is to wind up staff.
"Nothing gets past me."
Mr Cliffe has been a passionate supporter of the charity, taking part in fundraising events and helping to promote its work.
He has participated in Jingle All the Way, the Derian Ball and completed a virtual sponsored walk during lockdown, raising £6,500.
Caroline Taylor, deputy chief executive at Derian House Children’s Hospice, said: "Leo is a legend in the truest sense of the word.
"We have absolutely loved watching him grow up into the wonderful young man he has turned out to be - kind, talented and funny.
"And absolutely able to command a room.
"He's a fantastic advocate for Derian House and we're delighted that, although he's moving on from our children's hospice services, he'll continue to be part of the charity as an ambassador.
"He's always been happy to get involved, support our events and tell people about the work we do.
"We hope to see him soon."
Mr Cliffe will make his ambassador debut at the 10th anniversary of the Jingle All the Way charity walk on Saturday, November 14.
