Police have released a CCTV image of a person they want to identify after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus.
The teenager was travelling on the number 68 Stagecoach service from Preston to St Annes when the incident happened at around 10.30pm on October 31.
Lancashire Police said the bus had left Preston Bus Station and was travelling towards St Annes when the girl was assaulted.
She managed to get off the bus at The Square in St Annes, where she sought help from a member of the public.
Officers previously appealed for information following the incident and have now released a CCTV image of a person they would like to speak to as part of their investigation.
The suspect is described by police as white, around 5ft 11ins tall and aged approximately 20, with short, messy brown hair.
Police said the suspect was wearing a black zip-up windbreaker jacket, blue jeans and black Nike 270 trainers.
Officers believe the person they want to speak to later boarded another bus and returned to the Preston area.
Lancashire Police said the investigation remains ongoing and the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
A spokesperson said: “Now we are asking if you recognise the male in the image who we would like to speak to in connection with our enquiries."
“We believe he returned to the Preston area after getting on another bus.”
Anyone with information or who recognises the person in the CCTV image should call police on 101, quoting log 1832 of October 31.
Information can also be given anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
