A 36-year-old woman from Thornton-Cleveleys has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in Bispham.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Wednesday, November 4, in Red Bank Road, where a white Renault collided with three stationary vehicles.

Officers at the scene noted the smell of what they suspected to be alcohol and found an empty beer bottle and cocktail tin inside the car.

They said a roadside breath test recorded a reading of 55 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, against the legal limit of 35mcg.

The woman remains in custody.
