A Blackburn family-run business has been crowned Medium Retail Champion of the Year at the National Bed Federation Awards.

Prestige Beds, based in Alma Mill, received the title in recognition of its dedication, passion and commitment, and steady growth across three generations.

The award celebrates the contributions of the entire team, including showroom staff, warehouse workers, delivery personnel, office teams, and management.

A spokesperson for the company said: "The award recognises the dedication, passion and commitment that have helped Prestige Beds continue to grow while staying true to the values that have shaped the business over three generations.

"For the team, the win is particularly special because it reflects the contribution of everyone across the company, from colleagues working in the showrooms and warehouse to the delivery teams, office staff and management."

Prestige Beds has refurbished its Preston showroom, launched a new website, and purchased a store in Leyland as part of its expansion across Lancashire and the wider North West.

Community support remains central to the company’s ethos.

Prestige Beds continues to work with charities supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals, including Embassy Village in Greater Manchester and Nightsafe in Blackburn with Darwen.

The spokesperson added: "For Prestige Beds, being named Medium Retail Champion of the Year is a proud moment in the company’s history and a reflection of everything the team has worked to build.

"As the business continues to grow and invest for the future, its focus remains the same: providing trusted advice, excellent service and helping customers across the North West enjoy a better night’s sleep."
