A football supporter has been banned from matches for three years after admitting to possessing a smoke device at Ewood Park.

Aaron Moore, 29, of Whewell Row, Oswaldtwistle, was found with a smoke device during Blackburn Rovers’ home fixture against Leicester City on May 2, 2026.

The incident occurred in an area of the stadium where the match was being directly viewed, which is prohibited under the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985.

Moore pleaded guilty at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on October 15, 2026, and was given a three-year football banning order.

Moore was fined £261, with the court taking his early guilty plea into account.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £104 victim surcharge.

The match was the final game of the 2025/26 Championship season, which saw Blackburn Rovers lose 1-0 to Leicester City.

Leicester were relegated to League One despite the result, while Rovers escaped relegation by five points.
