A Burnley man has admitted to sending images of his genitals to a child and will be sentenced later this year.

Duncan Plane, 57, of Ribchester Avenue, appeared before Preston Crown Court charged with one count of an adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and three counts of making indecent photographs of a child.

He entered guilty pleas to all counts.

The first count refers to a period between March 3 and March 10, 2025, when he engaged with a person under 16 and sent naked images to her.

In addition, he also made 36 category A - the most serious - images, 20 category B images, and 14 category C images.

A sentencing date has been set for January 9, and he has been granted conditional bail.
