Clitheroe Road in West Bradford is set to close temporarily for essential works.

The closure, announced by Lancashire County Council, will be in effect on October 28, from 8am to 4pm.

The affected section will be from a point adjacent to Ashbridge, extending southward for approximately 50 metres.

This temporary prohibition is to allow United Utilities to carry out essential vegetation removal works near their assets.

The council has stated that the restriction will not apply to those directly involved in the works, ensuring minimal disruption to the project.

Residents will still have vehicular access where possible, while pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times.

Emergency services will also have access maintained.

For those affected by the closure, an alternative route has been laid out.

This will take traffic via Pimlico Link Road, Chatburn Road, Ribble Lane, and Grindleton Road.

The order was authorised by Jen Lovelady, Streetworks Team Leader, Highways Network Management, Highways and Transport.
