A drunken woman called 999, reported to police that she was lost, and then hung up.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard how when officers eventually found Alainan Moghal by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Blackburn, she became difficult and aggressive.
Moghal, 25, of Gorsey Fields, Droylsden, Manchester, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and two charges of assaulting an emergency worker.
She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
Aisha Khan, prosecuting, said following the first call, Moghal was phoned back and was abusive before hanging up.
When officers approached her in person and asked why she had made the call, she became difficult and aggressive.
"She was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and was shouting and swearing as she was being placed in a police vehicle, Miss Khan said.
"She kicked out at one officer and spat at another."
She said the defendant had no previous convictions.
Moghal, who was not represented in court, said she was very remorseful for the way she had behaved.
"I have an alcohol problem which I am addressing," she said.
"I am sorry about the way I behaved on that day. I don't remember what happened, but the police wouldn't be lying."
