A bird with a berry on its beak has been compared to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

The marsh tit was photographed by wildlife enthusiast Martin Goff at RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve in Carnforth.

Mr Goff said: "This marsh tit was eating honeysuckle berries, as part of its natural feeding behaviour at RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve.

"Britain's woodland birds make use of seasonal berries as an important food source.

"However, when I looked back at the shots I couldn't help but be amused that the bright red berries reminded me of Rudolph.

"I think Santa's reindeer has some serious competition this year."
