Search the Public Notice PortalA new standalone restaurant building could be created within the grounds of the celebrated Northcote Hotel in Langho under plans submitted to Ribble Valley Council.
The application proposes the construction of a pavilion-style restaurant designed to sit within the hotel's estate and gardens.
Planning documents say the development would provide a purpose-built dining facility and form the next stage in Northcote's development.

Northcote, which opened as a hotel in 1980, is known for its luxury accommodation, cookery school, private events and fine dining restaurant.
The plans state that the proposed building would help support the continued growth of the business while improving the dining experience for guests.
The proposed structure would feature a curved design with extensive glazing, timber framing and outdoor terraces overlooking the surrounding countryside.
Planning documents say the building has been designed to complement the wider estate and its landscaped setting.

Guests would be able to reach the restaurant through landscaped pathways running between the existing hotel and the new building.
The plans include herb and kitchen gardens, seating areas, and seasonal planting intended to form part of the visitor experience.
Inside, the proposals include dining areas, a bar, wine tasting space, lounge areas, and an open kitchen.
Documents submitted with the application say the design focuses on providing more space, comfort and improved views for diners.
Although the building would be larger than a previously approved scheme, the application states it would accommodate fewer diners, reducing the number of covers from 48 to 38.

According to the plans, the additional space would allow for increased table spacing, improved circulation, and greater privacy.
The application follows planning permission granted in 2023 for a pavilion restaurant on the same site.
The submitted documents state that the new proposal keeps the same location, access arrangements, parking provision, and operational relationship with the hotel, but introduces a revised architectural design.
The plans also include new planting, biodiversity improvements, and sustainable building measures, including a timber structural frame, energy-efficient glazing, and renewable technologies, where practical.
Ribble Valley Council will decide the application at a later date.
