Woman charged as 49 dogs seized from property in Oldham

A woman is due to appear in court after 49 dogs were seized from a property in Oldham.

Dorota Jagielska, 41, of Striding Edge Walk, has been charged under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

The charges include causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and failing in the duty of a person responsible for animals to ensure welfare.

She is set to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday, October 6).

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "The charges have been made in connection with an investigation which has seen officers seize 49 dogs from a home in Oldham."
