A Lancashire police sergeant has been dismissed following a misconduct hearing into allegations he accessed police systems without an authorised purpose.

PS 2645 Page was dismissed without notice following the hearing on September 9, with the outcome posted on Lancashire Police's website this week.

PS Page accessed systems without an authorised police purpose between April 2020 and April 2024, putting him in breach of the force's Standards of Professional Behaviour.

The hearing at Ormskirk Police Station, chaired by Chief Constable Sacha Hatchett, found PS Page's actions amounted to gross misconduct.

He was dismissed without notice and his details have been added to the College of Policing Barred list.
