A councillor caught up in "embarrassing" behaviour during a recent council meeting has condemned a colleague who farted towards opponents during the session.
Councillor Anthony Shaw was heckled by Reform UK's Cllr Andy Mahon as he spoke at the Blackburn with Darwen Council Forum.
The Darwen South representative's voice was hoarse during the event after returning from the Labour Party conference, and as he spoke, Cllr Mahon repeatedly laughed over him.
He was lambasted by Mayor Cllr Mahfooz Hussain and branded "completely disrespectful", but argued back it was a "natural reaction".
Cllr Mahon was also accused of loudly farting towards 4BwD's Cllr Tasleem Fazal during the meeting.
Cllr Fazal said the Reform member had "lifted his arse cheeks and blew his arse out like we're at school", leaving him worried about "shrapnel".
The BwD Reform UK group declined to answer whether action would be taken to address Cllr Mahon's behaviour in the chamber.

Taking to Facebook, Cllr Anthony Shaw said: "Elect clowns, you get a circus.
"The behaviour of Reform Councillor Mahon last council meeting was nothing short of embarrassing.
"He was disrespectful throughout, talking over people, being disruptive during civic moments, and of course farting towards opposition benches numerous times throughout the meeting.
"It was shocking, to say the least. I would urge the Reform leadership to actually turn around and watch him through a council meeting.
"I thank the Mayor for condemning him while he repeatedly faked laughed loudly while I was speaking in the Chamber.
"I didn't know I was that funny, and it is nice to know that there is someone out there with an even more annoying laugh than me!
"The Council Chamber is a place for serious business and one in which we respectfully disagree with others but also show dignity to every councillor.
"In my three years as a councillor, I have never had any such issues or witnessed such childish and poor behaviour. Every council meeting has been conducted with grace and decorum until this new group arrived.

"It needs squashing, and it is up to the Reform Leadership to get a grip - it's not acceptable."
Councillor Andy Mahon was approached for comment, but after the reporter introduced himself as being from the Lancashire Telegraph, he hung up.
When asked if the group would be taking action to address Cllr Mahon's behaviour, and if he thought passing wind towards fellow councillors was acceptable, Reform UK group leader on the council Cllr Daniel Matchett said: "There's much more important council business to discuss than this."
He added: "I think Cllr Shaw is trying to distract from him and his party voting down publishing the HMO register, voting down playing the national anthem at council forums, and not supporting my motion that we shouldn't be taking on the Afghan Resettlement Scheme."
Reform UK-run Lancashire County Council is ceasing to administer the programme in the county, and the Home Office will require an alternative administrator to be established.
