The following cases were heard on September 29 and September 30.
September 29
Tauseef Asif, 37, of Norfolk Street, Nelson, was fined £80 for drink-driving.
Asif was stopped in Brunswick Street, Nelson, on August 7 with 60 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
He was ordered to pay an £85 fine, £80 costs, and a £32 surcharge.
Colin Cardwell, 30, of Dronfield Way, Liverpool, was jailed for 18 weeks after admitting assaulting a woman and driving while disqualified.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Cardwell assaulted a woman in Blackburn on July 26, 2026. He also admitted driving a grey Benelli motorcycle on Burnley Road, Accrington, while disqualified on March 10, 2026, and failing to stop for a police officer.
Cardwell was disqualified from driving for 245 days, with the ban extended by 63 days because of his custodial sentence.
Leon Walmsley, 24, of New Street, Haslingden, was fined £607 after admitting driving without due care and attention.
The court heard Walmsley drove a Ford Transit without due care and attention in Curzon Street, Burnley, on October 1, 2024.
He was given five penalty points and ordered to pay £400 costs and a £243 surcharge.
Kian Washington, 21, of Glen Grove, Royton, was banned from driving for six months after admitting a speeding offence.
Washington was caught exceeding a temporary 40mph speed limit on the A59 at Sawley on July 19, 2025.
He was fined £120, ordered to pay £130 costs and a £48 surcharge. Magistrates also imposed a six-month disqualification and rejected an application to adjourn the case.
Daniel Lonsdale, 35, of Lime Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, was fined £1,080 for assaulting a police officer.
The court heard Lonsdale assaulted PC Emma Donovan while she was carrying out her duties in Oswaldtwistle on March 5, 2026.
He changed his plea to guilty on the day of trial. A charge of obstructing a constable was left to lie on file with no separate penalty imposed.
Lonsdale was ordered to pay £300 prosecution costs.
September 30
Sheryaar Rafiq, 28, of Walter Street, Blackburn, was banned from driving for three-and-a-half years after admitting drug-driving.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Rafiq drove a BMW 1 Series on Blackburn Road, Accrington, on March 31, 2026, with 8.4 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. The legal limit is 2 micrograms.
He was disqualified from driving for 42 months, fined £704 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £282 surcharge.
Brandon Wilde, 21, of Garstang Road, Preston, was given a 24-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months after admitting to possessing a knife in public.
The court heard Wilde was found with a folding pocket knife outside the Warner's Arms in Accrington on May 16, 2026.
Wilde was also made subject to a 10-week electronically monitored curfew and up to 20 rehabilitation activity days. The knife was ordered to be forfeited and he was ordered to pay £400 costs.
Alex Blackburn, 29, was banned from driving for 26 months after admitting drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
The offences occurred on Roundhill Road, Haslingden, on March 24, 2026. The court heard Blackburn had 225 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, almost three times the legal limit.
He was disqualified from driving for 26 months, reduced by 26 weeks if he completes a drink-drive rehabilitation course. Blackburn was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 surcharge.
Damian Grassham, 43, of Lloyd Street, Darwen, was fined £646 after admitting assaulting a man.
The court heard Grassham assaulted a man in Darwen on July 31, 2026. He also admitted causing £10 worth of damage to a mop belonging to Mr Ismail.
Grassham was ordered to pay £110 compensation, £85 costs and a £258 surcharge.
Mohammed Shezan, 44, of Whalley Road, Clitheroe, was banned from driving for 14 months after admitting drug-driving offences involving cocaine.
The offences occurred on Whalley Road, Clitheroe, on June 9, 2026. The court heard he drove a Volkswagen Passat with both cocaine and benzoylecgonine, a cocaine breakdown product, above the legal limits in his blood.
Shezan was disqualified from driving for 14 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
Mohammed Khizer, 29, of Pansy Street South, Accrington, was fined £80 after admitting possessing cannabis.
The offence was committed in Accrington on August 15, 2026.
The cannabis was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed. Khizer was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
Amjid Mahmood, 63, of Aberdare Close, Blackburn, was fined £100 after admitting speeding on the M65.
The court heard Mahmood was caught exceeding the 70mph speed limit between junctions seven and eight at Altham on August 18, 2025.
He was given three penalty points and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £40 surcharge.
Sarosh Khan, 19, of Barden Lane, Burnley, was fined £258 after admitting possessing cannabis and nitrous oxide.
The offences were committed in Burnley on August 7, 2026. Khan admitted possessing cannabis and possessing nitrous oxide with the intention of wrongfully inhaling it.
The drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed. Khan was fined £258 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £103 surcharge.
Chloe Minshall, 35, of Newington Avenue, Blackburn, was banned from driving for 12 months after admitting drug-driving.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Minshall drove an Audi Q3 on Sunny Bank Road, Blackburn, on February 24, 2026, with THC in her blood above the legal limit.
She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
Dawn Christie, 59, of Brownhill Avenue, Burnley, was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months after admitting two shop thefts.
The court heard Christie stole two packs of L'Oréal creams worth £30.88 from Boots in Burnley on August 11, 2026, and two L'Oréal wrinkle creams worth £59.98 from the same store on September 5.
Christie was made subject to a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £30.88 compensation.
Jaden Coulton, 26, of Lydia Street, Accrington, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting shop theft.
The court heard Coulton stole a large quantity of meat products and cheese worth £95.60 from the Co-operative Food in Morecambe on August 29, 2026.
He was ordered to pay £95.60 compensation. No order for costs was made because of his means.
