Nelson woman denies wounding with intent in Accrington

A woman has been remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to an alleged wounding offence.

Davina Norris, 43, of James Nelson Way, Nelson, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Thursday (October 1) charged with a single offence of section 18 wounding with intent.

Norris is alleged to have wounded a woman with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in Accrington on August 30.

She denied the charge and was remanded ahead of a pre-trial review on December 7.

A trial is due to take place on February 3.
