A man who was found guilty of attempted murder and sexual assault last month has been pictured for the first time.
Pawel Skros, 41, formerly of Warwick Street, Church, was found guilty by a jury of the charges following a trial at Preston Crown Court.
Skros was due to be sentenced yesterday (Thursday, October 1) but the hearing did not go ahead after Judge Philip Parry said he required a pre-sentence report.
Skros' custody image was released by Lancashire Police prior to the expected sentencing.
The defendant appeared via video link from HMP Preston expecting to be sentenced but was told the hearing would not be going ahead.
Judge Parry said: "When the defendant was convicted by the jury I adjourned to today and I did not order a pre-sentence report.

"I have since reflected on that decision and have concluded that I do need a pre-sentence report, and that is to allow me to consider what type of sentence I need to pass in this case.
"I would like the probation service to carry out an assessment to determine whether the defendant is to be classed as a dangerous offender.
"I emphasise that the decision will ultimately be mine, but I require assistance from the probation service in reaching the appropriate conclusion.
"So, I apologise to everybody who was expecting the case to be sentenced today, but I must now fix a new date for this case to be sentenced."

Skros will now be sentenced on November 27.
The defendant, who is originally from Poland but moved to the UK more than 10 years ago, stabbed the victim five times during an altercation at a house.
One of the wounds entered her chest cavity, almost reaching her heart.
She lay on the floor believing she was going to die, and Skros, who is an alcoholic and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, told her he was going to kill her and then himself.

Skros kissed the woman while she was on the floor and touched her in intimate areas, which amounted to the sexual assault offence.
The woman was eventually able to leave the property when Skros was distracted by a knock at the door.
She escaped through a side door, it was heard, and ran to a nearby house, opening the front door and collapsing in the doorway.
In a police interview, he denied attempting to kill or seriously harm the complainant.
He claimed she had been stabbed accidentally during a scuffle, and said she had made up the sexual assault allegation.
