Burnley man found not guilty of sex offence involving 'child'

A man has been found not guilty of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child following a trial.

Jimaar Hermosilla, 38, of Manchester Road, Burnley, stood trial at Preston Crown Court, which concluded on Wednesday (September 30).

Hermosilla pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence at a hearing in February 2025, prompting a trial to take place.

Following the not guilty verdict from the jury, he was discharged from the dock.
