A Rishton woman had pleaded guilty to stealing nearly £5,000 from the company where she worked.

Dawn Omara, 60, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday (September 29) where she pleaded guilty to charges of theft by employee and fraud by abuse of position.

Omara, of Britannia Wharf, Rishton, stole £4,903.15 from Nurture Landscapes between February 16 and 28, according to the charges.

They also state Omara abused her position by acting against the financial interests of the company on December 29 last year.

Omara was bailed ahead of sentencing on January 7.
