Sky is making changes to its TV guide this week, with customers set to lose three channels permanently.
The following channels will be axed on September 30:
- Sky Witness+1 (Satellite 207)
- Sky Atlantic+1 (Satellite 208 - 209 Wales)
- Sky Crime+1 (Satellite 221 - 222 Scotland)
That’s not all for this week, as today (September 29), Sky Glass/Stream customers (143 - 139 ROI) will see Sky History 2 (Satellite 163 (168 NI and ROI) become MysteryX on satellite and MysteryX HD on SOIP.
Sky to make changes to TV guide in October 2026
Temporary and permanent changes to the TV guide have been carried out during September, and more are to come in October.
On Thursday, October 1, Sky Glass and Stream customers will notice temporary changes to the following channels:
- Movies24+ (Satellite 315 - Sky Glass/Stream 314) will be renamed Christmas24+
- Movies24 (Satellite 312 - Sky Glass/Stream 313) will be renamed Christmas24
Meanwhile, on Friday, October 2, Sky Originals (Satellite 303 - Sky Glass/Stream 303) will temporarily change its name to MockingjayHD.

What is Sky Stream?
While you’ve probably heard of Sky Q and Sky Glass, you might not be quite as familiar with Sky Stream.
It’s a small device that plugs into your TV with no need for a satellite dish and connects to the internet to offer Sky TV, including Netflix and Discovery+.
Several other streaming apps can be accessed on Sky Stream such as BBC iPlayer, Prime Video, ITVX, Disney+ and more.
Prices start from £15 per month with two packs to choose from (Sky Essential TV and Sky Ultimate TV), and optional extras are available to add on.
While you can’t record content with Sky Stream, the TV firm says “you won’t need to”.
Sky adds: “With Sky Stream, you can add content to your Playlist.
