A Blackburn man has been jailed for assaulting a police officer and harassing a woman over several days in June.
Usman Rasul, of no fixed abode, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on September 18.
Rasul was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a police officer in Rishton on June 25.
He also admitted to harassment without violence towards a woman in Leyland between June 19 and June 21.
The harassment involved repeated calls, racial abuse, and abusive voice messages.

The court sentenced Rasul to 36 weeks in prison for the assault and seven weeks for harassment, to be served consecutively, totalling 43 weeks.
He was ordered to pay £150 compensation and a £4 victim surcharge.
Magistrates said custody was necessary because of a flagrant disregard for people and property, an unprovoked attack, and injuries to the officer.
