A Whalley-based haulage firm has gone into liquidation after insolvency specialists were appointed earlier this month.
RP Bulk Haulage Limited posted a notice in the London Gazette, the UK's official public record, confirming liquidators were called in on September 9.
Companies House records show BTG Begbies Traynor has been appointed, although it remains unclear what impact the move will have on staff or whether any jobs will be lost.
The business says it is a “reputable transport company based in Lancashire” and is known for its reliability and efficiency in bulk transport.
The website adds: “We offer a range of services tailored to meet the needs of our diverse clientele, ensuring that aggregates are delivered safely and punctually.
“Our dedicated team and modern fleet work tirelessly to provide the best transport solutions available.”
Balance sheets from September 2025 show that the company had fixed assets totalling £11,724, with current assets of £28,410.
Liabilities sat at £22,476, and the business employed three staff members including directors.

Earlier this week, Morecambe haulage company, JM Gorry & Son, ceased trading following the death of its managing director who unexpectedly died in June.
Creditors for that business cited increased legislation and regulation, including additional training requirements under the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC), as well as the retirement of long-standing drivers.
FTS Recovery said the loss of drivers placed an “immense strain” on the business.
At times, the company did not have enough drivers to operate all of its vehicles, while recruitment proved difficult amid similar pressures across the haulage industry, following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union.
